Amos Yee allegedly breaches court order; new police report lodged against himIn the wake of all the seething comments, petitions of support and debates about Singapore's freedom of speech, teen provocateur Amos Yee has appeared in headlines once again after a fresh police report has been lodged against him, accusing the boy of infringing his court order.  The Straits Times reports that 72-year-old former policeman and assistant secretary of the People's Action Party's Hougang branch Lionel De Souza filed a complaint against the 16-year-old Yee, whom he alleges to have reproduced contents of his tirade against late statesman Lee Kuan Yew and offensive remarks about Christianity.  Yee had three charges brought against him after being arrested over his video uploaded on YouTube in which he goes on expletive-laden rant against Lee Kuan Yew, and comparing him to Jesus Christ, alleging both to be "power-hungry and malicious but deceive others into thinking there are compassionate and kind". He was also charged with circulating on his blog an obscene object — a graphic cartoon of Lee with former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher.  Yee's bail has been set at $20,000 under the condition that does not post, upload or distribute comment or content online while the case against him is ongoing.  de Souza however took offence when Yee made a new post on his blog, calling for public donations to raise $30,000 for legal fees. The new post however contained the embed of his anti-Lee Kuan Yew rant that launched him into nationwide infamy, as well as a link to his blogpost which depicted the graphic cartoon. "But whether or not you’re a hater or a fan, thank you for creating a highly stimulating and exceptionally exciting environment, for me to continue playing, the game of thrones," Yee stated in his latest post. "I hope I receive your donation." Police have confirmed that the report against Yee was filed.  Photo: Amos Yee Facebook page
