Not everyone is well-versed with the legal rights they have when they're being brought in by the police, but the Law Society aims to fix that with their newly-produced Pamphlet of Rights.
The pamphlet provides basic information on the relevant rights a person has when being question by the authorities and the process they can expect during ongoing investigations.
Currently being distributed to community clubs and police stations, the pamphlet aims to educate the members of the public with their legal rights during investigation, search of possessions and property, prosecution, as well as legal aid.
The Law Society mentioned that legal rights during investigation may not be easy to understand or find for the layman, and their pamphlet should be a big help to those being arrested or brought in for questioning by the police.
