![4 victims of hotpot restaurant's stove explosion planning to seek compensation]()
Five women ended up in hospital suffering from scalds and third degree burns to their faces when a portable stove exploded at a hotpot restaurant — and now four of them are planning to seek compensation from the eatery's owner.
Wanbao reports that three of the victims also intend to hire lawyers.
Last Saturday, a stove exploded unexpectedly at Chong Qing (Original) Steamboat along Beach Road, causing a flash fire and spewing boiling soup onto patrons.
Out of the five casualties conveyed to Singapore General Hospital, three have been discharged. According to Wanbao, it is business as usual at the restaurant, with more than 10 tables occupied two nights ago.
