The National Design Centre plays host to an exhibition celebrating the renowned and highly acclaimed works of London-based design practice Heatherwick Studio in New British Inventors: Inside Heatherwick Studio.
Curated by Kate Goodwin, Drue Heinz Curator at the Royal Academy of Arts, the exhibition features drawings, models, films and test pieces from the past 20 years. It showcases the studio’s dedication to artistic thinking, innovative design solutions, and the latent potential of materials and craftsmanship.
Award-winning studio founder Thomas Heatherwick has been known to be Britain's most gifted and innovative designers, working with a team of over 150 architects, designers and makers, masterminding structures such as the UK Pavilion for the 20120 Expo in Shanghai as well as the newly built Nanyang Technological University Learning Hub.
The exhibition is a highlight of the Singapore Design Week and GREAT British Week and will run until Apr 12. More details available on the Design Singapore website.
