Not too long ago, renowned blogger Wendy Cheng (aka Xiaxue) applied for a protection order against infamous trolls and satirists SMRT Ltd (Feedback) for their repeated taunts at her — but it seems that the tables have turned on the purple-haired one.
Professional blogger Grace Tan has served court papers to Cheng, taking issue about the "defamatory, libelous and abusive comments" made against her.
Invoking the defamation-suit-prone spirit of the late Lee Kuan Yew, Tan strongly calls for action against cyber-bullying and refuses to "suffer in silence like the rest of the people (or bloggers) who have been cyber-bullied," according to her latest blog post.
It is not known what Cheng exactly said to Tan that prompted the suit. "Ultimately, I wish for a better blogosphere, a calmer cyberspace, a safer Singapore. I am doing this for our children, our students, my fellow bloggers, and the public in general."
Recently, Cheng's grievances against rival social media agency Gushcloud prompted her to publish another condemning exposé on the company, dragging Singapore's three major telecommunications operators Singtel, Starhub and M1 into the trivial fracas.
