A truck driver was crushed to death by a shipping container he was transporting.
The 40-footer flipped onto its side and crushed the driver's cabin, The New Paper reports.
A worker at CWT Logistics Hub 3 along Tanjong Penjuru Road spotted the accident, which happened on the fifth storey of the ramp-up logistics warehouse, and alerted the authorities.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force deployed rescuers to the scene and extricated the driver, who was trapped for more than two hours. He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
A crane belonging to CWT had to be used to lift the container from the driver's cabin.
