South Korea and North Korea have expressed their grief over the death of Singapore's first Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew, with South Korean President Park Geun Hye confirming her attendance to the State Funeral this Sunday.
Park offered deep condolences to the people of Singapore and recalls meeting with Lee and his wife years back, noting how they treated her with kindness during their official visit to South Korea in 1979 for a meeting with her late father.
North Korea's Premier Pak Pong Ju have also sent a message of condolence to Singapore over the elder Lee's death, calling him a close friend of Korean people.
