Following his passing yesterday morning, the body of founding Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew has been laid to rest at the Istana's Sri Temasek for a private family wake, which will end this evening.
According to The Straits Times, his casket was laid out on the ground floor of the two-storey house, resting on a bed of orchids.

In attendance to pay respects were various Singapore leaders including President Tony Tan, Emeritus Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong, Deputy Prime Ministers Teo Chee Hean and Tharman Shanmugaratman and other ministers.
Other guests included Puan Noor Aishah, wife of Singapore's first president Yusof Ishak; Tuan Haji Othman Wok, a first generation minister of Singapore and the Sultan of Brunei Hassanal Bolkiah, along with his wife Queen Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha.
Lee's body will be transported to the Parliament House tomorrow, where the public can pay their last respects to the prominent statesman.
