You want scorching fast internet speeds? Local internet service provider ViewQwest just launched the world's fastest home broadband plan yesterday at a velocity of 2 gigabits per second (Gpbs).
This would mean that outside Japan, regular Singaporeans are now able to enjoy top tier internet speeds typically utilised by businesses.
Japan's Sony-affiliated internet service provider So-net launched the Nuro Light network back in 2013, delivering 2Gbps download speeds and 1Gbps upload speeds, the fastest in the world.
Folks can sign a two-year contract at $89.95 per month to apply for the 2Gbps residential internet plan, and also receive free ViewQwest TV services along with other free and discounted products including the Amazon Fire HD tablet and Xbox One Kinect Bundle.
Competing internet service providers such as MyRepublic, Singtel, Starhub and M1 offer half of what ViewQwest are offering with 1Gbps plans. The Straits Times reports that MyRepublic will be revealing new broadband plans tomorrow, which could very well match their rivals.
