![Yeap, 'mysterious wooden crate' in abandoned bunker was a Tiger Beer marketing stunt]()
Yeap, we called it. That whole stumbling on a 'mysterious wooden crate' in abandoned bunker has been revealed to be a marketing stunt by Tiger Beer, who must've been disappointed by the lack of genuine interest about the whole thing.
Speaking to The Straits Times, the folks of Tiger Beer said that it was indeed a publicity effort ahead of their plans to roll out limited-edition adaptations of their designs from 1965 in the form of cans and bottles next Monday as part of SG50 (but of course).
The crate was said to have stored sepia photos, a rusted chain, a Tiger Beer bottle and can, and a nameplate with "Chu Beng Huat 21509". We can't help but think that Tiger Beer actually had bigger plans for this marketing campaign, but probably lost their spirit after a numerous netizens called them out for their obvious attempt at virality.
