Welp, at least they tried their hardest. Following a governmental dismissal two days ago, Livescape Singapore have officially cancelled Future Music Festival Asia 2015.    (function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_GB/all.js#xfbml=1"; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);}(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk')); Post by Future Music Festival Asia. Their troubles started since last year in Kuala Lumpur, where FMFA 2014 was shut down on its third day due to six deaths and several hospitalizations due to drug abuse. Undaunted, the organiser announced plans to hold Southeast Asia's biggest dance music festival at the Changi Exhibition Centre this year, confirming headliners such as The Prodigy and Afrojack and selling around 15,000 tickets. Alas, it was discovered that their applications for permits were denied twice by the police and the Ministry of Home Affairs themselves rejected their appeal over fears of drug usage and abuse.  Though it seemed that the organisers initially had backup plans to continue the festival in another form, their announcement spells the official termination of all their efforts. With two cancellations of their landmark event, it remains doubtful that Livescape Asia will be able to hold another FMFA in the future as they recuperate their losses and the trust of hundreds of partygoers around Southeast Asia.   Photo: Dedy Adrianto via FMFA Facebook page  Got a tip?
