![Truck crashes into police car attending to earlier traffic accident]()
Well that escalated quickly.
Just after a collision between a BMW motorcycle and a Honda Civic sedan, a truck slammed into the police car that was parked near the accident site, narrowly hitting the attending officer.
The truck then swerved to the side and crashed into lamp post, according to The New Paper.
The motorcyclist had collided with a stationary car along Lentor Avenue yesterday morning, and due to the weight of the BMW GS Adventure bike (260 kilograms of awesome metal), it could not be moved to the side of the road due to heavy traffic.
A police car arrived and parked behind the accident site to prevent vehicles from crashing into the fallen bike.
But that exactly took place when a truck suddenly rammed into the police car with the policeman standing beside it. Though the lawman managed to move an inch away from the collision, the truck grazed him and he fell.
The huge impact of the crash shoved the police car forward and subsequently pushing the fallen motorcycle for a good five meters. The truck then slammed into a lamp post after the initial vehicular collision.
When the motorcyclist pulled the truck driver out of his vehicle, he was in a complete state of shock.
Both the 21-year-old police officer and the 61-year-old driver suffered minor injuries, and they were conveyed by ambulance to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.
