It was not a TGIF for SMRT and residents of the western region of Singapore as train services were disrupted yet again for the third time in within five days.
Last Friday night, SMRT had to halt all services on the North-South Line between Jurong East and Yew Tee stations when a member of the public contacted the police about seeing a man walking on viaduct between Choa Chu Kang and Bukit Gombak.
(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_GB/all.js#xfbml=1"; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);}(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk'));

As free bus services were deployed to attend to the unsettled commuters, SMRT conducted investigations into the incident before resuming operations two hours later.
Police are on the case to investigate the criminal trespass.
