Three men have been arrested in relation to a case of house robbery in Punggol.
A 58-year-old woman had lodged a police report on Feb 2 in the early morning, claiming that her house — located at 619A Punggol Drive — had been broken into. Valuables including mobile phones and a bicycle amounting to $700 were found to be missing.
Officers from the Ang Mo Kio Police Division conducted extensive ground enquiries and managed to establish the identities of the three suspects, aged between 28 and 32, in Pasir Ris, Tampines and Punggol Central two days ago.
The 28-year-old suspect will be charged in court for the offence of Housebreaking and Theft, which carries an imprisonment sentence of up to 14 years with caning. Investigations against the two other suspects are ongoing.
