From Feb. 11 — 18, 11am — 9:30pm, produce direct from Japan's farmers will be on sale for the first time at the Wattention Plaza (basement level) of Jurong Point Shopping Centre.  The most unique offering at the Japanese Farmers' Market is the seasonal Aoshima Mikan orange from the Fukuoka Prefecture in Kyushu Island, which will go for $1 (medium) to $1.50 (large). These oranges are also available in packets of eight large and of 10 medium for $8.80 each, perfect for Chinese New Year.  Another popular item coming from the Fukuoka Prefecture are Fuyuukaki persimmons, known for its crunchy texture and pleasantly saccharine taste. These are going for $4.80 each and $8.80 for two.  Other produce at the Japanese Farmers' Market include Sun Fuji apples, Hokkaido's matilda potatoes, pumpkin and various sweet potatoes.   Looking to stock up on dry goods?  The market will also feature anything from tea, crackers and biscuits to premium udon and soba.
