Electrical cables amounting $3000 (they can actually fetch that kind of price?) were stolen from a vehicle and the police have arrested a 49-year-old man for his theft.
The police were alerted to the case earlier on Jan 8, when a van parked at the multi-storey car park of 550B Segar Road had been ransacked and the cables stored inside it stolen.
Following investigation and ground enquiries, the identity of the suspect was etablished and he was arrested on Wednesday along Yishun Ring Road.
If convicted, he will face imprisonment of up to 3 year and/or a fine.
