![Scoot welcomes first of many Boeing 787s in Changi Airport]()
Budget airline operator Scoot has reason to celebrate today; their very first Boeing 787-9 touched down in Changi Airport this morning at 9.33am, fresh from Boeing's factory in Everett.
The 40 guests onboard — consisting of members of the media, contest winners and staff — were flown to Seattle to participate in Scoot's celebrations, including visits to the Boeing Dreamliner Gallery, Channel NewsAsia reports. The first of Scoot's 20 Boeing 787s received a ceremonial water cannon salute by fire trucks from the Airport Emergency Services.

The Dreamliners will reportedly offer improved seats, movie streaming, inflight Internet connectivity, larger stowage bins and more. The next few years will see Scoot receiving the rest of the 787s, allowing the carrier to expand, add new destinations and increase flight frequencies while keeping to their commitment to value airfare.
