The infamous stretch of lorongs situated in Geylang are frequent hosts to dubious activity and yesterday was no different — two foreign nationals were found dead in a room in Hotel 81 Palace.
In what is believed to be a murder-suicide, the bodies of a bloodied and partially dressed 29-year-old Indonesian woman and a fully dressed 31-year-old man, an Indian national was found in a room on the third storey of the hotel last night, located at Lorong 16 Geylang. Both were on work permits.
The New Paper reports that bloodstains were found in several parts of the room, and guests heard nothing suspicious during their stay.
The police were alerted to the case around 7.45pm, while the paramedics pronounced both foreign workers dead at the scene. Police are currently investigating the case, which they have classified as unnatural deaths.
