The historic Victoria Theatre & Concert hall got a swanky refurbishment and opened its doors to the public once again last year, and the National Heritage Board recently launched a new heritage gallery showcasing old dame Victoria's famed past.
A Monument to Our History, located on the third floor of the Victoria Theatre & Concert Hall, features a total of 101 exhibits chronicling the history and architectural features of the performance arts venue.
Housing a collection of memorabilia depicting the establishment's past and collective stories from the community, visitors are encouraged to contribute with more artefacts so that the displays can be refreshed over time, Channel NewsAsia reports.
Little known factoids such as its past functions as a makeshift hospital during World War Two and a meeting venue for he People's Action Party are also featured in the gallery.
