To facilitate the Chinese New Year festivities, SBS transit has announced that their bus and train services will be extended, while some buses operating along the Chinatown district will be diverted due to the Official Light-Up and Opening Ceremony.
In the three weeks leading up to the Lunar New Year, operating hours of the Chinatown Direct bus services will be extended, starting from Jan 31 to Feb 18. Commuters living at Ang Mo Kio, Bedok and Clementi will see their respective Chinatown Direct buses departing to and fro at later times. Services will stop temporarily on the first two days of Chinese New Year.
On Jan 31, SBS Transit bus services in the Chinatown area will be diverted due to road closures, while operating hours of train services will be extended that evening.
