Following the surprising departure of popular radio DJ Glenn Ong from MediaCorp last week, the longtime broadcast personality has immediately got back to work, but now as a Director at hospitality service consultancy firm CIR VIS.
TODAY reports that Ong will be providing his expertise in driving up the profile of the firm's events and management sectors — something that Ong should be more than familiar with as a veteran host in MediaCorp for 19 years. He will also be in charge of expanding the firm's regional and international business.
In a Facebook post, CIR VIS founder Chris Glaessel enthuses that "a great partnership has started". On his end, the former radio personality expressed his excitement to be part of a company that is passionate about pushing forward Singapore's role in the global service industry.
Prior to Ong's resignation, MediaCorp saw a recent spate of beloved long-time celebrities leaving the company, including funnyman Gurmit Singh and The Flying Dutchman himself Mark van Cuylenburg.
