As if it wasn't bad enough that Hotpot Culture was getting terrible reviews on local restaurant platform HungryGowhere, a Facebook user today uploaded photos of what looks like the carcass of a rat, sitting in the ladle of the vegetable stew in their porridge buffet.
In her post, Caron Chan wrote, "Spot the #RAT in the vegetable dish. Taken at Hotpot Culture at Marina Square for the $8.80 porridge buffet with my colleagues for lunch. It was 'Business-as-usual' right after removing the dish tray. Enough said."

According to Chan, she'd scooped out the mystery meat after her colleague had pointed out something that looked like a rat's tail. Chan and her group apparently left without playing, but in the comments it was revealed that a table of customers beside them, who'd already had some of the free-flow vegetable dish before the incident, were refused a refund.
The restaurant only removed the offending dish and replaced it, while continuing with regular restaurant operations.

According to Yahoo! Singapore, the manager on duty wasn't even aware of the rat incident."As far as I know, I just heard that the dish wasn't fresh and so we replaced it," she told the online media outlet.
