Two weeks ago, Cynthia Koh flaunted images of her enjoying her "paycation" at Hotel Jen Orchardgateway on Instagram.
Some days later, she posted the aftermath of her stay, but it wasn't an image of her getting sunburnt from hours of lounging by the infinity pool, but that of insect bites — bedbug bites, to be precise.
The Channel 8 actress said she'd been bitten during her two-night stay at the hotel and when she'd reported it, the response from Jen, one of Orchard Road's hotels, was unsatisfactory.
A follow-up email from the hotel's general manager Herve Duboscq reiterated how the room Koh had stayed in has been found to be free of bedbugs, but offered to compensate for Koh's $55 medical bill, as well as a complimentary two-night stay as a "measure of good faith".
The 40-year-old seems to not want to push the matter further and has thanked the hotel. She also thanked her fans and friends for supporting her throughout the ordeal and today, made private her Instagram profile.
