Bookings for Vistara went live today as Tata and Singapore Airlines' joint full-service carrier announced its launch on Jan. 9.
With Delhi as its hub, Vistara, which means "limitless expanse" in Sanskrit, will initially only offer flights to Mumbai and Ahmedabad.
Visata's 148-seater A320-200 will offer three separate cabins with 16 seats in Business, 36 in Premium Economy — a first in India — and 96 in Economy.
Passengers can get tickets directly from the company website, as well as from major travel portals with access to Global Distributions Systems (GDS) such as Abacus, Amadeus and Travelport.
Vistara CEO Mr. Phee Teik Yeoh said, “I am very excited as this day is the culmination of many months of hard work. The activation of distribution channels is our first interface with our customer and with this, we embark on a journey to fulfill our brand promise of seamless travel experience. I would like to especially thank our partners for helping us put our best foot forward and most importantly the members of Vistara team for their diligence and resolve all this while.”
