The Singapore Jazz Festival (SingJazz) is offering a more diverse music lineup next year in a bid to attract a younger audience.
Among the acts confirmed are 10-time Grammy Award-winning singer Bobby McFerrin, "Price Tag" star Jessie J and New York collective Snarky Puppy, who last performed here in October.
According to TODAY, founder and artistic director David Lyndon Smith wanted to provide something for everyone this year. "We are looking at some acts that are more tailored towards youths, as well as more crossover acts. It's all jazz-inspired music (and) a little more eclectic."
Other acts include Grammy Award-winning trumpeter and composer Chris Botti, US A Capella group Naturally 7, British instrumentalist Courtney Pine and pianist-composer Ramsey Lewis.
The Singapore Jazz Festival is happening March 6 — 8 at the Marina Bay Sands Promenade, with the gala show happening on March 5.
Tickets are on sale now via the Marina Bay Sands website at $125 for a one-day pass and $255 for a three-day pass.
