Consumer 3D printing has certainly been one of the most highly-anticipated emerging technologies (now you can actually download a car!) in the past few years, and with technology advancing faster than before and components getting cheaper by the minute, it won’t be long when there’ll be a 3D printer in every household.
As such, maker movement hobbyists and tech aficionados should be thrilled to know that the world’s largest 3D printing event will be returning to Singapore in January for another expo displaying the latest developments in the realm of additive manufacturing.
Organised by MecklerMedia, 3D Printing Industry and 3DPrint.com, Inside 3D Printing Conference and Expo will be feature an extensive line-up of local and international experts, including Nanyang Technological University’s Additive Manufacturing Centre Director Professor Chua Chee Kai.
Singapore has been chosen as one of the stops in the event’s tour — having stops in Berlin, London, New York, Seoul and more — for the country’s influx of initiatives revolving around 3D printing in recent years, including applications in medicine, construction and even a printing service offered at SingPost’s newest post office.
“We have had much success with our first edition of Inside 3D Printing in Singapore and will be looking forward to another well-received conference and expo in 2015 with new features, a pool of leading industry experts as conference speakers, and even more engaging session topics.” says MecklerMedia CEO Alan Meckler. “Singapore has seen significant growth in 3D printing technology in recent years, making it an ideal location within the Asia-Pacific region to organise Inside 3D Printing.”
