![NTUC FairPrice launches Singapore's first members-only mega-retail warehouse]()
It’s the bargain hunting Singaporean’s dream come true: supermarket chain NTUC FairPrice have launched their own warehouse club at Joo Koon, the first ever members-only retail warehouse in the country.
The warehouse club concept works similarly to other similar entities such as Costco, Sam’s Club and Makro — customers pay annual membership fees in order to shop at the retail warehouse, which offers a humungous variety of groceries and household items in large, wholesale quantities at very attractive prices. NTUC Warehouse Club members will be able to enjoy greater savings through bulk buys, value packs and exclusive access to direct import products, along with regular food sampling events and special finds every store visit.
All are welcome to the two-storey, 80,000 square foot premise, but only members are allowed to purchase items. According to Channel NewsAsia, close to 12,000 people have already signed up as members, who have to pay up to $50 in fees annually.
The Warehouse Club is located at 1 Joo Koon Circle, in close proximity to Joo Koon MRT — more details available at the official website.
