Earlier today, Yahoo Singapore shared an audio clip contributed by commuter Laurane Lim, featuring the voice of the man driving the MRT on the North-South Line towards Jurong East.
On a morning where the rain was heavy and the trains more packed and sleepier than usual, the driver's improvisation of the regular safety reminders and "next stop" announcements was a welcome change. "If you're planning to leave anything behind, please make sure it's something I can either use or sell. Otherwise, please remember to take all your belongings with you," he joked.
He also offered some productivity advice: "Since it's a Thursday today, what you do today will determine whether tomorrow will be a ‘thank goodness it’s Friday’ or ‘oh goodness, it’s Friday’."
