Police have arrested another suspect for his involvement in loanshark activities.
On Sunday, officers from Ang Mo Kio Police Division apprehended the 40-year-old man in the vicinity of Sengkang Square. Investigations had revealed that he provided his ATM cards to a loanshark syndicate and let them use his cards for their illegal endeavours
For assisting in the business of unlicensed moneylenders, he may be fined up to $300,000, imprisoned for up to four years and liable for caning.
