2 People's Park Complex retailers chose to shut down instead of conceding with CASEFollowing calls by Consumers Association of Singapore’s (CASE) to two errant retailers at People’s Park Complex to sign Voluntary Compliance Agreements, both shops have chosen to shut down instead of conceding to the industry watchdog’s demands.  Channel NewsAsia reported that the two retailers in concern — Tele Infinity and Mobile Alliance — have vacated the premises. Other shop owners witnessed staff removing their signboards and moving their goods out of their establishments.  The contract would have them putting an end to unfair business practices and injunctions against them should they refuse to sign. CASE made their move on the two notorious shops in particular for amassing the most number of customer complaints.  According to Channel NewsAsia, CASE will not be taking further action against Tele Infinity and Mobile Alliance.  Photo: Jonathan Lin via Flickr
