Future Music Festival Asia (FMFA) 2015 will be held in Singapore after a three-year run in Kuala Lumpur (KL).
The multi-genre music festival made headlines earlier this year not so much for its lineup, which featured the likes of Armin van Buuren, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, and Pharrell, but for the series of drug overdose deaths that happened at the KL event, causing the final day to be unceremoniously cancelled.
According to co-organiser The Livescape Group's CEO Iqbal Ameer, the move made sense as they can now provide "a safe and fun environment" for festivalgoers, while keeping the event "within easy reach" of their Malaysian fans.
He also said that the festival has plans to stay in Singapore for the long term.
50,000 fans are expected to attend the festival across two days, to witness their biggest lineup to date, which according to Future Music Australia director Brett Robinson will be made up over 50 international and regional acts.
Phase one of the lineup, the venue, as well as info about regular tickets will be announced on Dec. 1.
Limited early bird discounted tickets will go on sale from Nov. 22 via Galactix.
