An elderly man in his 70s died today (Nov. 17) after he was run over by bus 187 operated by SMRT.
According to Channel NewsAsia, the Singapore Civil Defence Force had been alerted to the accident along Jurong East Street 32 at 11:57am.
An ambulance was sent to the scene, where the man was pronounced dead.
Citizen journalism site The Real Singapore (TRS) reports an eyewitness heard "parts of his body burst open with a loud sound as the bus ran over him".
The woman who'd been driving the bus was described to be in shock after the accident.
