![Dead body found in locked van at Sembawang Park]()
Sembawang Park played host to a grisly find today when the police reported the discovery of a dead body in the rear seat of a van parked there.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) was on hand to assist the police to extract the body — believed to be an Indian man in his 30s — from a locked white van. SCDF officers had to conduct forcible entry into the vehicle to retrieve the cadaver.

Cleaners speaking to the Straits Times mentioned that they did not notice anything out of the ordinary when they were hanging around near the van in the morning. It is not known if the body was intentionally abandoned at the park.
Paramedics declared him dead on the scene. Police are currently investigating the case.
