Singapore casinos duke it out in war of wordsAs the crackdown on corrupted wealthy individuals and economic slowdown continue, Singapore’s pool of high-rolling gamblers are getting a lot less smaller, and the casinos are not happy about it.  The lack of high-rollers have lead to Marina Bay Sands (MBS) resort head Sheldon Adelson to accuse their rivals Genting Singapore’s Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) of attracting big punters with generous incentives and credit. The South China Morning Post reported that Adelson is unhappy with how RWS run their business, hoping that one day they’ll compete on the basis of a quality product instead of simply throwing money around.  Genting Singapore company president Tan Hee Teck acknowledged the mud-slinging, and commented that some competitors may be in denial that it may just be a downward trend for casinos in the country, especially in the upcoming year.  Both RWS and MBS reported poor performances in business and revenue this year.
