A dramatic rescue was carried out by officers of the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) yesterday at Condo 8.
At about 4pm, a video of a woman sitting on the 14th-floor ledge of the condominum along Thomson Road went viral on social media.
According to media reports, the SCDF had been alerted to the incident at around noon and had tried to convince the woman to move to safety, but as time passed, they decided to intervene.
Photos contributed by an eyewitness Mr. Sylvester Lim, who said the authorities were talking to the woman in her 20s before attempting the rescue, show SCDF officers throwing down a giant net from a top floor before moving in to grab hold of the woman.
The woman was subsequently arrested.
