Geylang is probably haunted by a spectre that hates kopitiams — another car smashed into yet another coffeeshop in the neighbourhood.
Channel NewsAsia reports that the Singapore Civil Defence Force were despatched to the incident at Geylang Lorong 19 around 9pm yesterday. A man was found with minor injuries from the car crash, but refused to be sent to the hospital.
Two uncannily similar incidents have happened in Geylang earlier this year, where vehicles seem to have a personal vendetta against eateries. In September, a Suzuki Swift rammed into a seafood house along Geylang Road. The month before that, a lorry found its way into a restaurant at Geylang Lorong 11.
