According to the Condé Nast Traveller magazine's Readers’ Choice Award, Singapore Airlines (SIA) has been voted as the best carrier in the world.
The UK magazine collected over a million votes from over 77,000 readers in this year’s survey, with awards ranging from best cities, islands, hotels, resorts and other travel-related topics.
SIA get high marks for its comfortable seating, exceptional service and continuous upgrades to their services, including the world-renowned Singapore Suites Class experience. In addition, SIA invests heavily in its in-flight kitchens, and premium flyers can even pre-order meals crafted lovingly by top chefs.
Coming in second place are Emirates, whose luxurious amenities such as in-flight showers, top deck minibars and private suites have gained a loyal following among the wealthy flyers. They also get high marks for their airport lounges, complete with showers and quiet rooms at its hubs in Dubai and other major cities.
