Visa stipulation imposed on 3 ebola-affected countries Citizens of Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone will have to obtain visa documents to enter Singapore starting Nov. 5, according to Minister of State for Health Lam Pin Min in an announcement in Parliament today.  The decision is the latest in Singapore’s continual course of actions to prevent Ebola from spreading here. Already, travellers from countries with reported Ebola outbreaks including the three aforementioned nations along with Senegal, Nigeria and Democratic Republic of Congo will have to undergo screening for signs and symptoms of the disease at airports and other land and seas checkpoints. In addition to the health screenings, travellers from those countries will be closely monitored during their stay here. Public hospitals have also implemented appropriate infection control measures such as quarantine rooms, triages and various other precautions.  More details on visa application procedures can be found on the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority website.  Photo: Jason D' Great via Flickr  Read Also: Singapore makes further $190k contribution towards Ebola cause Ministry of Health assures low risk of Ebola outbreak in Singapore
