A severe accident occurred last Friday afternoon at the junction of Telok Kurau Road and East Coast Road when an SBS bus collided into the side of a lorry.
The collision was powerful enough to shatter the windscreens of both vehicles, sending seven bus passengers, and both drivers to be conveyed to Changi General Hospital to be treated for injuries, according to The New Paper.
A witness reported that a crowd of around 30 onlookers came to the scene, with some helping to direct traffic around the vehicles.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force declared that they received a call just before 12pm and despatched four ambulances, two fire bikes, a fire engine and a light fire assault vehicle to the incident.
Investigations are ongoing.
