Singapore star warned over night outSingapore's rising swim star Joseph Schooling has been given a warning after a late night out during the Asian Games in South Korea. The 19-year-old butterfly gold-medallist and his team-mates Teo Zhen Ren, 20, and Roanne Ho, 21, were all sent warning letters for going out without permission. An inquiry panel found the trio "infringed the code of conduct for athletes and officials at major games when they left the athletes' village without permission", Singapore National Olympic Council said in a statement."A letter of warning will be issued to each of the said athletes for their actions," it said. Schooling set a Games record of 51.76 seconds when he won the 100 metres butterfly in September, becoming the first male Singaporean swimmer to claim an Asiad gold since 1982. He also won a silver and a bronze medal at the Games in Incheon, South Korea, to add to the Commonwealth silver he won in Glasgow in July. Singaporeans had urged authorities not to be too harsh on the University of Texas undergraduate, seen as a leading hope for the next Olympics.
