Concert promoters The Gathering are simply on a roll this few months, with yet another new announcement to the already heavy live music lineup in the year end — Australian psych-dance outfit Jagwar Ma will be opening for legendary psychedelic rock gurus The Flaming Lips in a truly trippy concert at The Coliseum, Resorts World Sentosa on Dec. 1.
The Aussie lads were supposed to make a live debut earlier in January for Laneway Music Festival Singapore, but their show was cancelled at the last minute due to lead vocalist/guitarist Gabriel Winterfield tearing a ligament, and was advised not to travel. Even though synthman/producer Jono Ma did play a DJ set in the festival, it left fans here hungering for the full super-chill Jagwar Ma experience.
This December, they'll finally make a proper Singapore debut, and in perfect timing — they'll be opening for fellow psychedilia devotees and grandmasters of space rock The Flaming Lips. Fans who can't get enough of Jagwar Ma's narcotic electro tunes will also be able to catch them again across the borders at Genting Highlands when they headline Urbanscapes creative arts festival on Dec. 6.
Tickets to The Gathering with The Flaming Lips x Jagwar Ma are on sale at $98 on Eventclique; more details on the Facebook event page.
