After a month that saw Whisky Live, the Singapore Wine Fiesta and dozens of Oktoberfest parties, fans of a good tipple only have to wait two more weeks to drink their fill again. Online wine retailer Ewineasia.com is marking 10 years in the business in November and they’re holding a “Wine Discovery” weekend to celebrate.
Taking place from Nov. 14 to 16, the weekend consists of four main events. On Friday, the Tower Club will host a six-course dinner featuring wines from France, Spain, Portugal and New Zealand ($168).
On Saturday, APS Lifestyle Gallery will open its doors for The Big Wine Review 2014 ($45), where over a hundred wines from 60 wineries will be available for tasting. Seventeen winemakers will also be in attendance, including Silvia Franco of top prosecco producer Nino Franco. That evening, La Strada Ristorante will present a six-course dinner of its own – The Italian Discovery ($150) – with the wines of Nino Franco, Pieropan and Rivera taking centre stage.
The East Meets West Sparkling Brunch ($88) closes out the weekend on Sunday, Nov 16, as Chef Chan’s Restaurant at the National Museum of Singapore prepares a six-course brunch to complement a selection of champagne, prosecco and cava.
