![Japan-Brazil friendly sold out, heavy traffic expected at National Stadium tomorrow]()
It’s a sold out event for the most highly-anticipated football match in Singapore this year — the intentional friendly between Japan and Brazil tomorrow.
According to Channel NewsAsia, the match is expected to see a full house at the 55,000-seater National Stadium. Organisers World Sport Group have confirmed that all tickets have been sold out, and for those unable to catch the friendly in person, they can watch the match live on Starhub cable TV on SuperSports Arena.
Heavy traffic is expected at certain areas around the National Stadium, Singapore Sports Hub where an international soccer game between Japan and Brazil will take place tomorrow night.
Vehicles travelling along Nicoll Highway and Mountbatten Road are expected to be stuck in congestion from 5pm to 11pm.
Bus Service 11 will divert from its original route between 8.30pm and 11pm., skipping two stops – Stadium Boulevard and Stadium Crescent.
Carparks within the Singapore Sports Hub will only be open to motorists who pre-purchased parking tickets — which has already sold-out.
Due to the expected high traffic flow at Stadium MRT, members of public are encouraged to alight at Kallang or Mountbatten MRT station instead.
The public is advised to patiently follow the road signage and directions given by auxiliary police officers and traffic marshals.
