Jilted lesbian lover sentenced to four years in jail for stabbing exGiselle Shi Jia Wei has just been sentenced to 4 years imprisonment for stabbing her ex-girlfriend in an attempt to kill her two years ago.  The 25-year-old pleaded guilty to attempted culpable homicide in court last week, revising an earlier charge for attempted murder.  The Straits Times reported that prosecutors were seeking a heavier jail term for Shi, arguing that her crime was pre-meditated, and also caused severe physical and psychological trauma to the victim.  In July 2012, Shi had lead her ex-girlfriend Ummul Qurratu ‘Ain binte Abdul Rahman to the Golden Star Hotel in Geylang and had asked for reconciliation of the relationship. After repeated rejection from Ummul, the distressed Shi stabbed her twice in the chest in a murder-suicide plan. Ummul managed to escape from the room and sought help from a couple at the hotel.  Photo: Wikimedia Commons   Read Also:  Woman who stabbed ex-girlfriend pleads guilty to attempted culpable homicide
