Popular American diner franchise Johnny Rockets expands further into Southeast Asia, and they’re planning to make footfall here.
According to various food publications, the restaurant has signed a franchise agreement in Singapore. Currently, there are 13 Johnny Rockets operating in the region, including cities in the Philippines, Malaysia and Indonesia. Reportedly, they’ve set their sights on Vietnam, Thailand and China next.
“With the demand for better burger concepts booming, now is the ideal time for Singapore residents and visitors to experience our signature American dishes”, Senior Vice President of International Development for Johnny Rockets Scott Chorna enthuses. He hopes that his partners will be able to establish the franchise as the preferred American dining experience in Singapore — foodies can expect American classics such as burgers, cheese steaks, milkshakes, hot dogs and more.
More than 100 Johnny Rockets restaurants are operating outside the US, and they plan to double that by 2017 as part of their global strategy.
