On Wednesday, police arrested a 27-year-old man linked to a case of aggravated molestation that took place in the eastern part of Singapore.
On Oct. 4, the suspect subdued and molested a female victim at a HDB block around Bedok Reservoir Road. She later made a report and officers were deployed to conduct ground enquiries. Police managed to identify the suspect by reviewing CCTV footage of the lift lobby at the HDB block.
Further investigations revealed that the culprit was also involved in a similar case reported on Aug. 18.
The suspect will be charged in court today. Upon conviction, he may face jail of two – 10 years and caning.
