Zhou San’Guo, an ex-employee at fast food chain Mcdonalds, has been sentenced to four months in jail for pocketing $30,294.
In district court today, the 31-year-old manager confessed to embezzling the money from a McDonald’s outlet at Bukit Batok East Avenue 4 on May 13 last year, eight hours after reporting for his night shift the day before.
According to The Straits Times, he admitted to have taken the money to repay his debts.
