Costing as much as what one makes in a year, the experience of flying in the Singapore Airlines Suites Class counts as the most luxurious class of flying commercially available.
Round-trip tickets can cost up to $23,000, which is like pocket change for most of us (no). Travel blogger Derek Low took it upon himself to try out this extremely exclusive flying experience by splurging his frequent flyer miles and taking us through the step-by-step process from booking the flight to landing in New York — and man, it really is the ultimate way to travel.
Even before stepping into the airplane, a Suites Class ticket holder is given lavish treatment at the airport, and everyone already knows your name. The opulence simply snowballs throughout the flight, including dedicated personal services, Salvatore Ferragamo amenity kits, Givenchy sleepwear, 5-course meals, a whole double bed set-up and many other things we will probably never, ever get close to even smelling.
Read all about it in his image-packed account of the Suites Class experience — then lie down and weep gently over how unfair the world is.
