![Boeing to set up cyber security facility in Singapore]()
Boeing is opening its first Cyber Analytics Centre outside of the United States, in Singapore.
According to a press release, the centre will train and equip cyber security professionals, perform advanced analytics, as well as serve as Boeing's regional cyber security centre of excellence.
They will also be staffing the centre with cyber security professionals in Singapore, who will undergo training.
One key feature is that customers will be able to share timely and actionable information with the facility. It will also provide a platform — or various platforms — for security professionals to collaborate with industry partners, customers and academics to solve complex challenges.
“We are taking our Singapore partnership to a new level with this Cyber Analytics Center aimed at boosting cybersecurity in the city-state and beyond,” said Skip Boyce, president of Boeing Southeast Asia. “Boeing already has a strong business presence here, comprising commercial airplane and defense procurement, aircraft maintenance and research and technology work.”
Said Boeing's Information Security Solutions director Per Beith, "We've established this centre to address current and evolving cybersecurity challenges in the Asia-Pacific region. The rishs to critical infrastructure and governments worldwide continue to grow, and this centre demonstrates Boeing's — and Singapore's — commitment to addressing the cyber threat."
