A new section of Tanjong Pagar's Icon Village is set to come alive by the end of September.
Some restaurants, like Sumire Yakitori House (#01-02-04), are already open, but most are still undergoing the final stages of renovation.
One of them is new Asian fusion bistro The Quarters (#01-09), owned by chef Chung Deming. When it launches in the week of Sept. 22, the 30-seater space will serve modern Asian flavours in a mix of meat, pasta and sandwich dishes. Think cream-based, aromatic-infused buah keluak pasta and fish with lemongrass and ginger flower sauce. Chung, a former bank advisor, says starters will start at $8 while mains can go from $12-18. Chung also promises dessert, such as the inimitable durian creme brulee.
The Quarters, Hareico (#01-01) and Two Men Bagel House (#01-12) are new names, while Cold Storage supermarket, Munch, OKG (Old Kim Guan) Express (#01-11) and The Public Izakaya (#01-14-16) already have outlets elsewhere.
It's possible that Jasper's Pantry (#01-13) at Icon Village is their first physical store.
